MCMIX has successfully manufactured, delivered, and commissioned a fully hot-dip galvanized dry concrete batching plant for a new partner in the United Kingdom. Now operating actively on-site, the plant was not simply designed for output; it was engineered around the specific demands of a high-moisture, coastal-adjacent climate.

Appearance as a By-Product of Purpose

Every structural steel component was hot-dip galvanized before leaving the MCMIX production facility. The resulting silver metallic finish is undeniably striking, but it is entirely a by-product of its purpose: long-term corrosion resistance. It was not polished for a showroom. It was armored for the rain, ensuring that every weld and plate remains protected over decades of continuous outdoor operation.

Geometry and Site Integration

Beyond its material resilience, the installation features a massive, highly geometric aggregate hopper that dominates the layout. This structure provides extensive storage while serving as a protective canopy for the systems below, creating a streamlined dry-batching configuration that delivers uninterrupted flow directly to transit mixers.

From Assembly Floor to Active Site

Before shipment, the plant was fully assembled and tested at our facility, allowing verification of its structural geometry and conveying systems in a controlled environment. Once delivered to the UK, the transition from assembly to commissioning was seamless, a continuation of its preparation rather than the beginning of it.

Now in active service, this project marks MCMIX’s first commissioned concrete batching plant in the United Kingdom. Beyond entering a new market, it demonstrates our core engineering philosophy: a plant’s design must begin with the conditions it will live in, not just the concrete it will produce.
